Apex has extensive experience with direct sales to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Department of Defense (DoD), the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the Indian Health Services and many other Federal and State agencies.

Patrick Ballard is a retired United States Air Force Colonel with over 25 years of aerospace defense and logistics experience on combat aircraft of all types. His passion for continuing to serve the mission, helping veterans and a commitment to excellence always inspired him to give back after he completed his service. He started Apex OmniSource in 2019 with Andy Clifton as a means to bring needed commodities and new technologies to the federal government space to support or enhance mission accomplishment.

As President and Chief Revenue Officer of Apex, Andy is a results-driven leader who is responsible for setting current and future strategic direction, including new verticals and manufacturer representation. Andy leads the expansion and diversification of Apex's manufacturer and product portfolio. With a proven ability and track record in the building of loyal relationships through value-driven selling and rapid problem identification and resolution, Andy's demonstrated capabilities include strategic planning, budgeting, employee development and cross-functional team collaboration. Andy is responsible for driving revenue activities and initiatives, and his role encompasses developing and executing company strategy and overseeing the sales team. Andy's solutions-oriented approach and deep understanding of organizational dynamics, market trends, and Apex's business verticals has generated impressive growth and P&L performance. He has focused on Federal and State Government Contracting for the last 12 years, and has extensive experience in the Durable Medical Equipment/ Healthcare Technologies, Software and IT, and Big Data sectors.
